Doris "Dori" Bates Clark-Stevens, 76, passed away on February 21, 2024. Dori was born November 3, 1947 in Richland, the daughter of Ivan and Hava Bates.

She attended Marcus Whitman Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1966.

After graduation, she married and moved to San Antonio, TX and subsequently to Spokane. After divorcing, she worked at various jobs finally settling at the Veterans Administration in Spokane where she worked as patient advocate for many years. Upon retirement, she moved to Pasco to be near family and worked as a realtor.

Dori loved her family, her dogs, her garden and dancing. It was at dance lessons that she met Gary Stevens who she later married in 2016.

Dori was loved by all who knew her. She spent most of her life in service to others. She volunteered at Kadlec Medical Center working in the gift shop. She served on the Pasco Housing Board and was a member of Kiwanis.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Judy Pauly ('68).

She is survived by her husband; her sisters, Betty Roberts ('64) (John) and Vickie DeMille (Derek); brother, Jim Bates ('72) (Cathy); along with brother-in-law, Joe Pauly; and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Mueller’s Funeral Home, 1401 South Union Street in Kennewick.
