Lonnie Thomas "Tom" Coleman was born in Birmingham, AL to John A. Coleman ^Jr and Lillian G. Coleman on May 15, 1948. He passed away on July 12, 2021.

Tom graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

He left Richland the day after graduation in 1966 for the U. S. Naval Station in Treasure Island, CA to await assignment. He was assigned to a VAH Squadron on Whidbey Island and then to NAS Marimar, CA until heading to Vietnam's Gulf of Tonkin combat zone with an F4 Phantom fighter squadron. He worked in the Ready Room and left the military as an E-4.

His siblings were Annadelle, John A. ^III and Alvace L. His wife is Ava.

A Memorial Service was held on August 6, 2021, at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morrison United Methodist Church; Leesburg, FL or Orange Heart Medal Foundation; Springfield, TN.

Tom was buried in the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
