JAMES JOINER "JIM" COUCH, JR. ~ Class of 1966
August 25, 1948 - June 18, 2016

Jim was born August 25, 1948, in Richland to James Joiner Couch ^Sr and Nell Rose Couch. He died Saturday, June 18, 2016, in his sleep at his home in West Corvallis, CA at the age of 67.

He joined the Army after graduating from Richland's Columbia High School in 1966. After training he was sent to Vietnam as a supply clerk. Following his discharge he was never in good health and was in and out of various military hospitals for the rest of his life. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 7952, Richland.

Jim married Elisabeth Frances Henschen on April 1, 1981; they divorced on March 4, 1985.

He is survived by his sister, Melanie Couch Nelson ('75), a niece and nephew, and his beloved "Aunt Dolly".
