Robert "Bob" Gale Dean, age 48, of Richland died Thursday, November 2, 1995, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.

Bob was born April 16, 1947 in Richland to Thada and John Dean ^Sr. He married Barbara Burnet ('70) on May 1, 1971 in Ephrata.

Bob attended Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Chief Jo Junior High School and was an honorary member with the Class of 1966 at Richland's Columbia High School.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Bob was a very caring person and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He liked going snowmobiling, fishing and sitting around an open fire with family and friends. He was always the first to be there whenever someone needed a helping hand and was someone you could always count on.

Bob was a planner/scheduler for ICF Kaiser Hanford/Westinghouse Hanford Company for the last 17 years.

He served in the Vietnam War and was devoted to his country, as well as, his community.

Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother; and his brothers Bennett "Benny" Dean ('59 honorary) who passed away August 7, 1988 and James Mitchell Dean who was born August 24, 1937 and passed away January 29, 1938.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara ('70); son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. ^Jr and Joanna Dean of Richland; daughter, Charlotte Dean of Richland; five brothers: John W. Dean ^Jr ('46 honorary) of Denver, Don Dean ('51) of Richland, Jerry Dean ('53) of Kennewick, Carl Dean ('64) of Benton City and Larry Dean ('65) of Richland; six sisters: Anna Dean Simmons ('45 honorary) of Richland, Alice Dean Durham ('48 honorary) of Richland, Ruth Dean Timpke ('55 honorary) of Ephrata, Connie Dean O'Neil ('60) of Richland, Ginger Dean Kidder ('66) of West Richland and Debbie Dean Brown of Quincy; in-laws, Ed and Harriet Burnet of Spirit Lake, ID; brother-in-law, Ed Burnet of Richland; sisters-in-law: Patty Burnet Hall of West Richland, Janice Burnet Atkinson ('66) of Kemmerer, WY and Cathy Burnet Poyner ('69) of Richland; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces/ nephews; and great-great-nieces/nephews. He also leaves behind many friends.

Graveside services were held at 2pm on Monday, November 6, 1995, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

His brother, Jerry '53, passed away February 24, 2011.

His sister, Anna ('45 honorary), passed away February 9, 2017.

His sister, Alice ('48 honorary) , passed away August 29, 2017.

His sister, Ruth ('55 honorary), passed away April 29, 2018.

His brother, John ('46 honorary) , passed away January 26, 2021.
