March 2, 1948 - August 22, 2023

Pam Dykeman

Pamela Gail "Pam" Dykeman, 75, went peacefully to her Lord on August 22, 2023, at her home in West Richland. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Pam was born on March 2, 1948, in Richland to Clifford and Jannett Dykeman. She grew up in Finley where she attended Bethlehem Lutheran School. The family later moved to Richland where she attended Carmichael Jr. High and graduated as a Bomber in 1966, at Col. High (RHS).

Pam’s first job was at Frontier Title Company. It was during this time she married, moved to California and Spokane with her husband, later returning back to Richland. From this marriage she had two daughters (Jill and Danielle). Years later Pam remarried.

After moving back to Richland, she worked for numerous Hanford DOE contractors in Accounting and Payroll, from where she retired.

After retirement, Pam settled in as a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. The love she had for family and to the Lord was a priority in her life.

One of Pam’s most enjoyable memories was her trip to Africa and Israel. Some of Pam’s past activities were singing in the church choir, being active in church and VFW functions, weekend getaways to “Women of Faith” concerts, softball, vacationing at the Oregon Coast, taking care of her dogs, and long walks.

Pam is survived by daughters, Jill Dixson ('89) and Danielle Dixson ('93); grandchildren: Cody Dixson (Kayla), Kaitlynn Yale, Austin Claridge, Keaton Dixson, Faith Dixson, and Hope Malvich; great-grandchild, Madden Yale; brother, Randy Dykeman ('69), and sister-in-law, Kim Richey Dykeman ('74); niece, Melissa (Kevin) Nelson; nephew, Bryan (Erica) Dykeman; great-nephew, Justin Nelson; great-niece, Hailey Nelson; as well as numerous cousins and many close friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Jannett; grandparents, Oscar and Alma Dykeman; grandparents, Reinhard and Rebecca Krueger; cousin, Marlys Kinne; numerous uncles and aunts; Cliff and Selma Scofield, Arthur and Opal Dykeman, Norval Dykeman, and Bill and Patsy Krueger.

Pam is now pain free. She’s flying with the angels, dancing with dad, walking through sunflowers and along the beach with her dogs, drinking a milkshake….all in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is home at last!

There will no visitation. Memorial service to be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 520 Thayer Drive in Richland at noon on Friday, September 1, 2023, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
