Jack Lee Gilchrist, age 72, of Benton City died from cancer on February 27, 2019 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

He was born in Staples, MN on June 24, 1946 and lived in Benton City since 2002.

Jack attended Jason Lee Elementary School, Carmichael Junior High School and Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1965 and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

He was a retired carpenter and had served in the U. S. Army.

A memorial service was held in April 2019 at the American Legion in Benton City.
