LINDA RUTH HESS JEFFERY ~ Class of 1966

Linda Ruth Hess was born to Joan and Emil "Hank" Hess on May 22, 1948. She passed away at the age of 74 in her home in Albuquerque, NM on November 22, 2022. She was self-employed.

She attended Marcus Whitman Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1966. She attended Central Washington State University, the University of Illinois and the University of New Mexico.

Linda married Daniel Michael "Dan" Jeffery on December 28, 1970, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Kennewick. The Rev. Richard A. Wuertz officiated. Sharon Dahl Philip ('66) and Philip John Philip ('65) were the attendants.

At the time of her marriage Linda was a division manager at Credit Bureau Record Center in Rock Island, IL. After the wedding Linda and Dan moved to Champaign, IL where both planned to attend the University of Illinois.

Dan graduated from the University of Illinois with a BA in English and from the University of New Mexico with a graduate degree in creative writing and English. Under the name, "Barnaby," he pursued his dream of becoming a professional juggler, comedian and musician. He entertained all over the United States and on many cruise lines around the world. He lived his dream before passing away in Albuquerque, NM on July 24, 2014.

Linda's father, Hank Hess, passed away at the age of 95 in Richland on July 2, 2020.
