Michael Kendle "Mike" Hogan, 74, entered into rest after battling ALS on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in Appling, GA. He was born in Richland on October 26, 1947.

Mike attended Jason Lee Grade School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

He was drafted and served in the U. S. Army from 1968 - 1970 as a Sgt. E5 in Okinawa.

Mike was a retired pipe fitter/welder for Union 509.

Michael is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years,
Mary Regina (Lollar) Hogan; daughter, Stephanie Hogan Holbrook; stepson, Daniel Norwood Nelson; and his adopted parents, Kendle and Larue Hogan. Survivors include his son, Michael "Justin" Hogan; adopted son, Landen Hogan; daughter, Leah Hogan; grandchildren, Morgan Richards and Jacob Richards; sisters-in-law, Deborah Lollar and Helen Ross; and brother-in-law, Bob Lollar.

Always the chef, Michael loved to cook. He loved classic cars and classic rock, gardening; and he could fix anything. Michael was very patriotic and was a very active member of Word of Life Church. Michael was a faithful and sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the last 39 years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Word of Life Church; 6389 Washington Road; Appling, GA 30802.
