Peggy L. Murray, age 49, of Kennewick passed away on Sunday, December 1, 1996, at the VA Hospital in Seattle.

Peggy was born in Richland on August 8, 1947 to William and Leona Maasen. She attended Jason Lee Elementary School, Christ the King School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

She was an LPN for 26 years, working in Seattle at Swedish Hospital, Virginia Mason Hospital and Seattle General Hospital and in Pasco at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Peggy served in the U. S. Army as a nurse.

She married John Murray on April 28, 1973 in Seattle and had been a resident of Kennewick for the last 15 years.

Survivors include her husband, John; parents, William and Leona Maasen of Richland; brothers and sisters: Robert L. Maasen ('62) and wife Karol of Moses Lake; Bonnie Maasen King ('62) and husband Skip of Seattle; Dorothy Maasen King ('64) and husband Mike of Seattle; Janice Maasen Fouts ('67) and husband Chris Fouts ('66) of Battle Ground; and James R. Maasen ('70) of Richland. She is also survived by eleven nieces and four nephews.

Recitation of the rosary was at 6pm on Sunday, December 8, 1996, at Columbia Memorial Chapel. Full Military funeral services were at 11:30am on Monday, December 9, 1996, at Columbia Memorial Chapel by the Pasco American Legion Post 34, with interment following in Columbia Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Columbia Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Her mother,
Leona, passed away May 11, 2004.

Her father, William, passed away October 16, 2008.

Her sister, Bonnie, passed away July 15, 2019.
