HARRY JOHN "MANO" MANOLOPOULOS ~ Class of 1966
April 7, 1948 - December 12, 2022

Harry Manolopoulos

We are sad to announce the passing of Harry J. Manolopoulos of Ellicott City, MD and Mattapoisett, MA. He died at age 74 on December 12, 2022.

He was born in Richland on April 7, 1948, to John and Elizabeth Manolopoulos. He was the eldest son of seven siblings and grew up in Richland where he attended Jefferson Elementary School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School. For college, he majored in business at Eastern Washington State University.

His siblings are Alexandra Manolopoulos ('64), Chris Manolopoulos ('67), Rebeccca Manolopoulos ('70), Connie Manolopoulos ('72), Anna Manolopoulos ('74) and Nick Manolopoulos ('86HHS).

Harry was a loving husband to Cassie Manolopoulos for fifty years. He had four daughters: Joanna Ingham, Melodie Manolopoulos, Charissa Ruel and Tessa Manolopoulos. He enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren: Marina, Mac, Macy, Harry, Martin and Margot. Also, he will be sorely missed at the head of the family table by his sons-in-law; Graeme, Manuel and Jason.

His career as a manager with Bechtel took him all over the world, and he had many stories about his job in procurement. His favorite thing after work was to put on his "uniform," and he was an avid fan of C-Span news.

He was the ultimate family man with a sense of humor that made everyone laugh. In his retirement years, he enjoyed playing golf and spending the summers in Mattapoisett.

A private memorial ceremony with close family members will be held at Cushing Cemetery in Mattapoisett.
