SANDRA SUE "SANDY" MITCHELL HULBURT ~ Class of 1966

Sandra Sue "Sandy" Mitchell Hulburt was born in Yakima on February 25, 1948, to William R. and Irene Thelma Cooklin Mitchell. She passed away on June 14, 2022, in Connell at the age of 74.

Sandy attended Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

She studied at Columbia Basin College following high school.

Sandy married Raymond Hulburt on September 6, 1969.

She was a retired para educator at Connell Elementary School.

Sandy loved spending time gardening and doing yard work, and she loved her grand kids more than anything.

She leaves behind her husband, Raymond Hulburt; her son, Mitch Hulburt (Jessi); her son, Jeremy Hulburt (Melissa); her granddaughters: Maya, Kara and Lily Hulburt; her sister, Linda Mitchell Moore ('63) (Bob); her brother, Bill Mitchell ('68); and her brother, Jim Mitchell ('70) (Randie).

Sandy was preceded in death by her dad, William R. Mitchell, in 1992; by her mother, Irene Thelma Cooklin Mitchell, on June 2, 2005; and by her brother, Thomas Mitchell ('73 honorary) , on May 29, 2019.

Einan's at Sunset, Richland, was in charge of arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Connell Community Center at 211 E. Elm Street in Connell, WA from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
