December 9, 1947 - September 18, 2021

Linda Ott

Linda Kaye Ott Beaver, age 73, passed away on September 18, 2021 at OHSU in Portland due to complications from cancer surgery.

Linda was born on December 9, 1947 to Donald and Marjorie Ott in La Grande, OR. Her family moved to Richland where she attended Spalding Grade School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School.

In 1967 she married Barry Bristol ('63) and gave birth to her son, Chad Bristol, later that year. Divorced four years later, she moved to Corvallis with Chad in 1971 and attended Linn Benton Community College.

Linda met her husband, John Beaver, in 1975. They were married in 1977, at which time she became a mother to Louise, Eric and Tracy. The following year the family established their home in Hines, where Linda initially worked at the Edward Hines Lumber Company. Linda was hired by the Burns Paiute Tribe in 1980, which began her successful 41-year career as the court administrator and law enforcement secretary.

Always kind and generous, and with a ready laugh... Linda enjoyed cooking, camping, riding 4-wheelers, traveling to Reno NV with her husband and spending time with her family.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie; by her father, Donald; and by her brother, Don Ott ('61).

She is survived by her husband, John Beaver; brothers, Jim Ott ('64) and John Ott (Pam); four children: Chad Bristol (Donna), Louise Kelly, Eric Beaver and Tracy McManus (Scott); two grandchildren, James Albertson (Sarah and Jude) and Cole McManus; great grandson, Tye Lee Flores Albertson; and special loved ones: Melissa, Shanna, Emily and Mykel.

As per Linda’s wishes there will be no public service.
