Joseph Aaron Rowe, born December 6, 1947, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Tuesday, June 29, 2021, after a 9-month battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.

He was born in Richland to Robert and Virginia Rowe. Joe attended Christ the King School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School. After which he attended Perry Technical Institute in Yakima. Upon successful completion of his technical certificate in electrical engineering, Joe moved to Seattle.

Joe met and married Rosaleen C. Rowe (deceased) in 1970, and they had three children. He worked for King County Wastewater Treatment Facility, held partnership in his own electrical engineering business and went on to be President of Technical Systems, Inc. in Lynnwood, WA. In 2000, Joe married Sharon Rowe and began a life of adventure with much traveling, hiking, skiing, biking, bridge and gathering with friends.

During his life, Joe was an avid mountain climber, conquering mountains such as K2 and Mt. Everest. He enjoyed all things outdoors and valued the cherished friendships he made along his journey.

Joe was preceded in death by his mom, Virginia Rowe; father, Robert Rowe; brother,
Denny Rowe ('60); ex-wife, Rosaleen Rowe; and granddaughter, Lacey Sattler.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Rowe of Anacortes, WA; his daughter, Deanna Sattler of Everett, WA; his son, Robert Rowe of Elk Grove, CA; his daughter, Angela Kilgore (Chris) of Seattle, WA; his brother Kevin ('72 honorary) (Sandy) Rowe of Richland; his sister, Andi ('64) (John) DeMyer of Richland; and his sister, Ginny Rowe Duve ('68). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, granddaughter (Sawyer), and countless friends.

A Celebration of Life will be from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Skyline Beach Club; 6041 Sands Way; Anacortes, WA 98221.

Evans Funeral Chapel and On-Site Crematory in Anacortes, WA is in charge of arrangements.
