Douglas Paul "Doug" Votendahl, 54, of Kennewick died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Heritage Grove Convalescent Center in Yakima.

He was born in Richland on June 20, 1948. His parents were Robert Clifton "Bob" Votendahl and Rhea A. "Dee" Farnworth Votendahl ('45).

Doug attended Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Marcus Whitman Elementary School, Chief Jo Junior High School and was with the Class of 1966 at Richland's Columbia High School.

He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on June 30, 1965. He was discharged April 24, 1967.

Doug married Karen Burford ('66 honorary) on December 27, 1966; they later divorced. He married Carol Suzine Hooten on September 28, 1968. They were divorced September 11, 1969.

Doug worked in construction.

Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima was in charge of the arrangements. He was buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens.



Note: His father, Bob, passed away on December 20, 2006. His mother, Dee ('45), passed on January 27, 1980.
