Virginia Ann "Ginger" Wagner Anderson, 53, of Richland passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at Kennewick General Hospital after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Ginger was born July 18, 1948 in Houston, TX. She resided in the Tri-City area for over 38 years where she attended Jefferson Elementary School in 6th grade, Chief Jo Junior High School and was an honorary member of the Class of 1966 at Richland's Columbia High School. She was a graduate of Roxboro High School in Roxboro, NC and Columbia Basin College. She also attended Eastern Washington University majoring in business administration.

Ginger married Brad Anderson in Richland on August 30, 1969. She worked over 22 years for Dr. Michael Albertini in Richland and made many good friends while there.

She was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and especially enjoyed the Mariners. Ginger's greatest joy was her family and especially her children and grandchildren whom she so dearly loved. She was a hard worker and possessed an indominatable spirit and dedication to do what was right. Even her illness failed to deter her dedication and love for her family. She exemplified service above self. Ginger possessed a wonderful singing voice. "Her song will remain in my heart forever".

Ginger is survived by her husband of 32 years, Brad; her three children: Jennifer ('90) and husband Jay Clark of Kennewick; Brad Anderson Jr ('93) and wife Nicole Filkowski Anderson ('93) of Richland; and Marni (`00) of Richland. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Bradley Anderson III (`16), Noël Anderson (`19) and Jordyn Clark; her father, Bob Wagner, and his wife, Jenny; her brothers: Doug Wagner ('70) and Steve Wagner ('76); and her nephews: Matthew and Connor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Wagner.
