One Rose
"One yellow rose, that was all he had - and this stranger he gave it to me.
'And with this rose,' that stranger said, 'To you I'll give my love,'
Just one yellow rose he gave to me, to show his love so true,
I never laughed; but I laughed that day - how could such a thing be true.
But that single rose that he gave to me, did make my dreams come true.
Now the rose is dead but the love lives on - between that stranger and me.
For the rose, and the love, and the stranger - still live - deep inside of me."
