Mary Juricich Cox died unexpectedly in Boulder Community Foothills Hospital on November 13, 2016. She was born in Pasco on November 16, 1949 to Marian and Raymond Juricich. Mary excelled in both academics and sports in her early years, was Valedictorian of her senior class and was on the tennis team in high school graduating from Richland's Columbia High School in 1968.

The official name of the high school was "Columbia High School" but was commonly referred to as "Richland High School", with nicknames of "Col'Hi" or "RHS"; and, is located in Richland, Benton County, WA. The school was later re-named "Richland High School".]

Subsequently, Mary earned a BS degree from Purdue University (Math with a minor in Chemistry, a degree in Accounting from Indiana University, and earned an MBA in finance from the University of Washington. Mary worked as a Research Scientist for Battelle Memorial Institute's Pacific Northwest Laboratories and held management positions for Pacific Northwest Laboratories and two divisions of Westinghouse in program controls, financial services, program and financial planning, and IT services.

She had many interests, including hiking in the mountains, travelling with friends and family, cooking, sports, theater productions, and dogs and cats.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Carl; her children: Doug (spouse Jaré) of Bellevue, WA; Charles (spouse Christina) of Arlington, VA; Bob (spouse Julie) of Cary, NC; Kelly of Parker, CO; Matthew (spouse Angela) of Bothell, WA; and Amy (spouse Dan) of Apex, NC; by seven grandchildren; and by her sister, Barb ('73) (spouse Paul) of Chandler, AZ; all of whom love her dearly. She was the hub and rock of her family.

There was a special place in her heart for her travelling friends, her hiking buddies, many relatives, friends and neighbors over the years, her cat "Buster" and her four-legged neighbors "Rudy Retriever" and "Buddy Beagle".

She was greatly loved and highly valued by her family and friends. Those who were lucky enough to intersect with her during their lifetimes found someone who was truly interested in them and was always ready to help. Mary was truly a special person to so many fortunate people.

Her father, Raymond, passed away April 15, 2006.
