Janet Dawn Ramerman, 24, of 610 Fuller Street in Richland died Monday, June 28, 1971 in the U. S. Public Health Hospital in Seattle, after an extended illness.

She was born in Bellingham, WA on April 27, 1947 and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1955.

She was a member of the West Side Protestant Church in Richland.

Janet's family first moved to Pasco in 1955 and then to Richland in 1961 where she attended Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School. She graduated from Columbia Basin College in 1968 and received her BA in Sociology at the University of Puget Sound in 1970 where she was president of the women's dorm for two years and was on the Dean's List.

Survivors include her parents, Alice and Harold E. Ramerman of Richland; sisters: Leta ('66) of Yakima, Sheila ('72) and Lynette "Lynn" (HHS '75) of Richland; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Jeanne Elings of Lynden.

Services were at 2pm on Thursday, July 1, 1971 in the West Side United Protestant Church with the Rev. John Zimmerman officiating.

Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

NOTE:

Her fraternal twin sister,
Leta ('66), passed away February 19, 2006.

Her mother, Alice Palmbush Ramerman, passed away in 2005.

Her father, Harold Earl Ramerman, passed away in 1996.

Her sister, Lynn (HHS '75), passed away October 21, 2021.
